A native of North Carolina, Jonathan is an actor/writer/drummer based in New York City.

He has been a Noxious Weed Inventory Crew member for the Forest Service in Idaho, a cartographer with Airbnb and the United Nations, and a drummer for the Stumblebum Brass Band touring from Key West to Alaska.

Spurred on by his actor friends at Chapel Hill High School, Jonathan's first audition landed him a role in a production "Oklahoma" and the rest is history. Jonathan began his serious study of acting at HB Studios in New York City where he studied with Tony award winner Reed Birney and top instructors including Karen Ludwig, Gregory Berger-Sobeck (Yale), and coaches with Todd Susman (Neighborhood Playhouse). Jonathan also loves to perform improv comedy and has studied with Armando Diaz (Magnet Theater), Anthony Atamanuik, and Will Hines (UCB).

Jonathan has acted in film and theater productions directed by Abel Ferarra, Simon Hammerstein and Chris Von Hoffman. He has also appeared on America's Got Talent and the Chris Gethard show as well as being a regular live performer at The Box NYC.
